NIAMH McARDLE

Treehouse and forest made mostly using garden twigs, cardboard, cocktail sticks and sponge. Photographed using a variety of lightning set ups to replicate different times of day. I found the most successful techniques to help in creating a realistic miniature were blending sponge to create moss, and adding bicarbonate of soda to acrylic paint to provide a gritty and weathered texture to the 'wooden' structured. The final set had a diameter of 50cm and the treehouse measured 5x5x3cm.
