Tasked with creating a bird using accessible items, I made use of dried leaves, sticks and tree bark found in a park to create my Nature Bird. I collected leaves, allowed them to dry out and then tore them by hand into small triangular shaped pieces. Starting from the where the legs connect to the body, I began layering the leaves to mimic the pattern of feathers, keeping a clear line between the different colours to give the bird a green belly. I used two pieces of bark for the beak and a circle of hot glue painted black for the eyes.
